Title

A significant reassess on performance and machining of Metal Matrix Composites

Abstract

Aluminium metal matrix composites have attracted extensive attention in engineering applications due to their relatively low costs and excellent properties. Aluminium-based metal matrix composites have found applications in the manufacture of various automotive engine components. Various Reinforcement materials were added to fabricate the composites. Different fabrication techniques have evolved over the past 15 years for the fabrication of Metal matrix composites. In this paper, the fabrication of aluminum metal matrix composites with various reinforcements and the mechanical behavior are reviewed.
