Abstract

A DoS attack is a dangerous malicious attempt by a single person or a group of people to cause the victim, site, or node to deny services to its users. As in another case it is also possible that a lot of malicious hosts coordinate to flood the victim with an abundance of unnecessary threat packets, so that the attack occurs simultaneously from multiple points. This type of attacks are called Distributed DoS, or DDoS attacks. the improvements in the technology leads different types of attacks. The tools which are available now are not able to identify the different type of attacks.
