Title

Critical Review on Viscous Fingering of Non-Newtonian Fluid Developed in Hele-Shaw Cell

Abstract

The development of the viscous fingering instabilities in Hele-Shaw cell has great practical and scientific importance. The displacement of a high-viscosity non-Newtonian fluid by a low-viscosity Newtonian fluid in a Hele-Shaw cell is capable of producing ramified viscous-fingering patterns exhibiting fractal characteristics. In this paper, we briefly overview some theoretical approaches and empirical modeling approaches of the fingering instabilities of non-Newtonian fluid in Hele-Shaw cell, which have been developed over recent decades
