Title

Abstract

The present study was aimed to study the nutrient intake of lactating women in Kashmir. To gather information from 413 lactating women, Questionnaire was used. Respondents were selected purposively & randomly from all the 10 districts of Kashmir valley. Data collection was done in the various district hospitals of Kashmir. It was found that dietary intake of calories, proteins, fats, iron and folic acid was lower than the ICMR recommendations for majority of the studied sample.
