Researches for the stability of a structure of asymmetric buildings subjected to earthquake have been extensively increased now a day to ensure safety and reliability of the structures. In this paper an attempt has been tried to evaluate the effect of different signature earthquakes due to different plan irregularities. This study helps to evaluate the seismic safety of buildings. Here linear and nonlinear time history analysis is performed to get the displacement at top of the structure and those are compared to find the effectiveness of type of irregularity in seismic consideration. C type, L type and T type irregularities are considered for this study.
