Abstract
The physico-chemical quality of ground water of the town Katihar was studied for 3 months from December 2016-February 2017. Water samples were collected at fortnight intervals from tubewell water from areas Mangal Bazar, Binodpur, Baniatola, Bara Bazar and Gamitola in Katiihar town. The ground water from six stations was analysed. Alkalinity, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and Nitrate concentrations in some stations were found above the drinking water standards.
