Title

Synthesis with antifungal Studies of Co(II) Ni(II) and Cu(II) Complexes with Poly dentate ligand.

Abstract

The synthesis, spectral and antifungal studies of the complexes of [M(L)(B)2] where M = Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) and L= 1,2-diimino bis(p-methoxy o-hydroxy acetophenonyl) ethane-1,2-dione. Complexes were characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, magnetic moment, electrochemical study and conductance, Infra red with electronic spectral data. Spectroscopic studies indicate that the coordination occurs with metal ions through two equatorial oxime-amine chelating ligand by neutral poly dentate donor azomethine nitrogen with two oxygen atom of phenolic group while other position of metal ions satisfied by two facial and axial mode of water, ammonia, quinoline ..... etc with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II). On the basis of electronic spectra and magnetic moment data suggest that the metal complexes have high spin octahedral paramagnetic more stable macrocyclic ring structure. The Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes and ligand have been screened for antifungal activity and in the applied medicinal chemistry with other industrial application.
