Title

Simulation and Fault Analysis of High Voltage Direct Current Transmission Line using MATLAB

Abstract

In this paper, first we have discussed the basic structure and principle of High Voltage Direct Current Power Transmission System and types of faults occur on it. We used MATLAB Simulink to simulate the transient processes of this system when the short circuit line to ground (LG) fault occur on HVDC Transmission line. We observed effect of using Solid and Resistive Grounding on fault current. It will be proven by simulation result that the model and the simulating method is valid, visual and time saving.
