Title

An Efficient Synthesis & Antimicrobial Evaluation of Novel Amide Derivatives of 4-(3-methyl-5-(piperazin-1-yl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)benzonitrile

Abstract

A novel series of amide derivatives of 4-(3-methyl-5-(piperazin-1-yl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)benzonitrile were synthesized, characterized and evaluated biologically. N-boc piperazine and diketene are employed as key raw materials and produced a series of novel amide derivatives by 5 steps reaction pathway with excellent yield and milder reaction condition. The intermediate 2 is synthesized by using green approach. The pyrazole formation is accompanied by Lawesson’s reagent in minimum time with better yield. Synthesized amide derivatives were tested for antimicrobial activities. The structures of compounds were confirmed by ES-MS, proton nuclear magnetic resonance.
