Abstract

The Point Spread Function (PSF) of two-annuli coded- aperture imaging systems has been investigated by a rigorous Fourier analytical method. The full-width at Half-Maxima (FWHM) obtained from it has been used as a measure of the spatial resolution of the system. The effects of defocusing and apodising the aperture have been considered. The variation of the FWHM as a function of the location of the first annulus has been studied.
