This paper is based on an economical yet effective robot using an Android Smartphone and Arduino microcontroller. Modern Smartphone are built with the hardware that satisfies all the above requirements. By using a Smartphone reduces the cost of building a typical surveillance and rescue robot. The live video feedback is obtained from the camera of Smartphone. Data from the sensors of a Smartphone such as geographic location, acceleration, etc is sent by the Smartphone to the user. The commands are sent to the receiver, at the transmitter side with push buttons, to control the movement of the Robot to move left or right and forward, backward and give the robot the freedom to explore and rescue in all types of environment.
