Title

Life cycle cost analysis of RCC residential building using @Risk analytics

Abstract

The main objective of the present work is to study the life cycle cost of the residential building with the help of the @Risk analytical software which deals with the escalation rates and predict the future cost of the building. Capital and energy are the prime resources for development which are always a constraint. We face the problem of cost and energy crisis in terms of materials, labor’s cost and power generation and distribution respectively. The primary causes of this issue are related to the non-proper planning and uncontrolled consumption of resources. However, in present context study of this topic is essential to determine the life cycle cost of the reinforced cement concrete residential building. Life Cycle Cost Analysis can be performed on large and small buildings or on isolated building systems. Many building owners apply the principles of life cycle cost analysis in decisions they make regarding construction or improvements to a facility. This LCCA is demonstrate by providing the operational and maintenance cost, annual cost, construction cost, energy cost and salvage value at the end of the year with the help of the discounted rate in @Risk analytical software. The model is completely driven by using excel spreadsheet and @Risk analytical software provide the multiple simulation help to determine the forecast value with the help of CPWD schedule of rates and escalation rates. The results of life cycle cost model for RCC residential building provide the life cycle cost of buildings.
