Usage of recycled aggregate(RA) will be a major measure to minimise the material wastage and to solve the environmental problems .In this paper ,fresh and hardened characteristics of self compacting concrete(SCC) will be compared with ordinary concrete by partial or complete replacement of natural aggregate with recycled aggregate. The workability properties of various self compacting concrete mixes were assessed using slump flow test V-funnel test and L-box test. Hardened properties of ordinary concrete and SCC was investigated using compressive strength and split tensile strength for 7 days and 28 days.
