This article helps to focus on the trend towards the resolution of family dispute through Alternative Dispute Resolution. Alternative Dispute Resolution is the best mechanism to resolve the family dispute, and helps to maintain the sanctity of the relationship. This article has been divided into six major categories which are further divided into various sub-topics. The existing article is based on secondary data for the analysis and to draw concrete conclusion. It uses a unidirectional approach towards explaining the benefits of using Alternative Dispute Resolution methods in family dispute. The first heading is Introduction which consists of statement of problem and significance of study. The second topic elaborates the concept of family, family dispute, Alternative Dispute Resolution and related laws. Third heading deals with the need and role of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Further this article explains the contemporary issues and challenges faced in Alternative Dispute Resolution methods, in its fourth heading. The last head of this article gives conclusion of the research and certain valuables suggestions to encourage the resolution of family dispute through Alternative Dispute Resolution.
