Title

Study of Emotional Maturity and Anxiety among Physical Education and other Teachers

Abstract

The present study is an attempt to find out difference in emotional maturity among women teachers of physical education and social science and difference among female teachers belonging to rural and urban area of Haryana. Descriptive study method was used for the present research. A sample of 120 women teachers of government schools from ten districts of Haryana, Thus the sample of the study consists of 120 teachers (60 physical education teachers + 60 social science teachers). Yashvir Singh & Bhargava's Emotional Maturity Scale (EMS) (1999) was used to assess the emotional maturity among women teachers. The statistical techniques such as Mean, standard deviation, and ‘t’ value were used to analyse the data. The study stated that female physical education teachers were found more emotionally mature than female social science teachers. The study further revealed that significant difference in emotional maturity of female teachers of government school Haryana belonging to rural and urban areas.
