Abstract

The development of an efficient copper (I) complex catalytic system for carbon-carbon bond formation by cross-coupling reaction. The functional arylzinc halide was generated from the direct oxidative addition of rieke zinc to functional aryl halide in presence of lithium chloride. These organozinc reagents were undergone copper (I) complex catalyzed coupling reaction with aryl bromide produce biphenyl compound in good yield under mild condition. A practical coupling of arylzinc halide with aryl bromide catalyzed by tetrakisacetonitrile copper(I)tetrafluroborte is described
