Abstract
Motherhood is synonymously used for womanhood in our culture. It is considered a master status in our society and all other statuses of a woman revolve round the status of motherhood. Identity of a woman in our society is largely based on her capacity to bear children after marriage. The study attempts to describe the importance of motherhood and children from the viewpoint of childless women of our society.
