Abstract

This paper is an attempt to understand study and conduct detailed comparative analysis on the differences that may or may not arise between the pre purchase opinion and the post purchase opinion of certain attributes of Hyundai Cars. 170 Hyundai car owners were studied through questionnaire. The paper uses non-parametric test for the study since the pre-purchase opinion and post purchase opinion is taken from the same sample i.e the 170 respondents. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test is used to conduct the non- parametric test on the dependent variables/attribute of cars. The attributes so taken into consideration for comparative analysis are brand popularity, durability, fuel efficiency, height of the car, load capacity, maintenance expenses, overall functioning, price, resale value, riding and travel comfort. The study aims at aiding the manufacturers and dealers to understand buyer perception and help them in developing marketing strategies through the findings of the research.
