The environmentally clean nature of solar photovoltaic (PV) technology causes PV power generation to be embraced by all countries across the globe. The photovoltaic system (PV) has attracted much attention due to the oil and environment pollution in recent years. In this paper, the cable fault characteristics of the PV powers are analyzed in detail and both the line-to-ground fault and the line-to-line fault are involved. The fault processes are divided into several sub modules. All the analysis is verified by the simulation model based on the MATLAB/SIMULINK and with the help of simulation results. Simulated results show that proposed model gives efficient fault analysis when using PV cable Array.
