In this paper, designing and implementing GSM-Based control of Electrical Household Appliances is presented. The issues of paying high electricity bills generated due to household Electrical & Electronic appliances at home/office is alarming. To help deduct the total number of energy use and amount to be spent on electricity bills, GSM-Based control of Electrical Household Appliances is proposed. The system is designed to allow the consumer to control the switching ON/OFF of his/her electrical and electronics home appliances via mobile phone from anywhere at any time. The system implemented with help of ardunio hardware and GSM module software. Any household appliances could be switched ON by clicking a Tab in the Consumer’s mobile phone, that signal send to the receiver panel at home, the receiver antenna picks the signal and forward it to microcontroller which decodes the keywords and command the instructions to trigger any device connected to the system ports. If the device (s) is/are switched ON, then the smart phone tab shows the the status of system with green mark. Similarly if the Device is Switched OFF then the smart phone Tab shows Red mark. The system is implemented, program written and tested with accurate result.
