Data mining is the processing of analyzing large datasets and database so has to derive patterns and establish relation between them. There are various disciplines available under Data mining and clustering is one of them. Clustering is the process of dividing data into groups that have similar objects. Each similar group is a cluster. The distance between the objects in the same group is minimum. It is possible to implement clustering algorithms via number of methods. This paper shows study and comparison between different clustering algorithms – Partition methods and hierarchical methods.
