Banking in the current form entered India during the British Raj even though several kingdoms had their own patterns of finance. Local kings facilitated launch of princely banks while the British administration was managing the provincial banks. Banking institutions in Karnataka are more than a century old. These institutions have very strong links with the State's coastline with great contributions from visionaries like Dr. TMA Pai and Mr. AB Shetty. Almost, all the major banks based out of Karnataka are listed in various stock exchanges. This study is performed to analyze the stock prices of various Karnataka-based banks. The result of this study shall include the level of price fluctuation and the level of risk associated with it.
