Abstract

The present study proposed to spread light on the blue emitting phosphor CaSiO3:Ce3+ prepared by modified solid state diffusion method. The CaSiO3:Ce3+ phosphor was characterized through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and luminescence spectra and compared for both the methods. The CaSiO3:Ce3+ phosphor shows strong blue emission under near UV excitation.
