Title

ANALYSIS OF PERFORMANCE OF THE WAVE FLOATER FOR ELECTRIC POWER GENERATION

Abstract

The aim of the work is to make the machine more efficient and more cheap in by using the foam floater and plastic hollow floaters that is easily available and more cheap than the steel flat floating plates. We are looking forward to make this machine at the home level energy production with the different floater of different size and dimensions like foam cuboids , cylinders and spheres that is easily available instead we can also use the dome shaped foam structure for the floating structure that is easy to construct . The work will construct the rigid electric energy generation platform holding the motor circuit for electricity production. For water tank purpose we will be using the rubber bath tub that will hold the water upto the height of 60 cm 100 cm from the base surface . At one side of the rubber tank there is the mechanical wave producing mechanism that will generate waves for the floaters to give the up and down motion to the floaters and in the middle of the tank there will be the steel structured frame holding the floater and the two sliders on the two sides of the frame embedded with motor on both the sliders. The two sliders supports the gear that is directly contact with the cylindrical 8 mm diameter rods for the power transmission to the motor belted with the gear. For the energy transfer we can also use the rack and pinion power transmission . we are expecting to have increased efficiency by using the most appropriate float design after all the comparison and analysis of the shapes that are the spherical hollow plastic container , foam or plastic cubiodal container by using the dimension variations in the model design.
