Title

Flow over a Cylinder with Base Jet

Abstract

Flow over cylinder is one of the most commonly encountered flow phenomenon in fluid mechanics. It serves as a base model for studying the performance of different drag reduction methods. In this paper, flow over a circular cylinder with base jet were studied and presented. Due to the flow separation at the aft part of the cylinder the drag created by the cylinder is high. By providing the basejet at the aft section of cylinder modifies the flow pattern and reduces the flow separation and results in lesser drag.
