The basic EOQ model is framed keeping all the cost parameters to a constant value. But originally these values are not fixed in nature. These values are subjected to the changes occurring in the market. The total value of the system as determined by these constant values do not predict a correct valuation of the model. This unpredicted behavior of the parameters is studied in the fuzzy sense which incorporates the changes prevailing in the market to these parameters and hence gives an accurate measure of the system. This work presents a model which is fuzzified using the pentagonal fuzzy number system. The cost values are then defuzzified using the graded mean representation method. The values are then compared with the crisp values of the inventory model which provides significant logical propositions. Numericals are used to verify the mathematical procedure.
