Title

Determination of RPM for Spin Stabilized Upper Stage Rocket for different Cross wind conditions in Mars Atmosphere

Abstract

Normally upper stage rocket having conical shape profile body. When the rocket planned for a Mars mission. While entering into Mars atmosphere the upper stage motion should not deviate from its actual path. So we use active technique called spin stabilization for the upper stage to cancel the effect of cross wind in Mars atmosphere. We found the appropriate RPM to stabilize the upper stage rocket in Mars atmosphere. And we compare this result with RPM needed for the same upper stage rocket in Earth atmosphere for the case of Reentry.
