Title

Design of a Pyramidal Black Body Source used for Calibration of Diagnostic Instruments

Abstract

Design of a high temperature pyramidal black body source using the CST Microwave studio. Black body source is developed for absolute calibration of diagnostic instruments for measuring the electromagnetic emissions. The emissivity of the black body source designed is 0.95 for 1-100GHz microwave frequencies. SiC (silicon carbide) material is selected for design due to its property of high thermal conductivity.
