This study was carried out with an aim to investigate the antibacterial activity of leaf extract of boerhavia diffusa. In this study we compared the antimicrobial efficacy of Methanolic and aqueous extracts of Boerhavia diffusa against E.coli ATCC 25922, Klebsiella pneumonia MTCC 3384, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853. The results of study suggests that Both Methanolic and aqueous extracts showed moderate antibacterial activity, which is clearly visible in the form of (ZOI) Zone of Inhibition. Pattern of Minimum Inhibitory concentration (MIC) of both extracts against all the pathogens were different which is possibly due to the presence of different phytoconstituents attribute to their antimicrobial activity.
