Bank fraud is the use of potentially illegal means to obtain money, assets, or other property owned or held by a Financial Institution, or to obtain money from depositors by fraudulently posing as a bank or other Financial Institution. In many instances, bank fraud is a criminal offence. Cyber security is the body of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. in a computing context, security includes both cyber security and physical security. The present study is undertaken to know the banking frauds year wise and bank wise and various cyber security issues in India. The study is based on secondary data covering a period of 9 years i.e. 2004 to 2013 to reflect the number of frauds in Banking Sectors and Cyber Security issues during that period
