The dread of the new and affection for the old keep on being reflected in all parts of Indian diplomacy from connecting with the United States to an ideal system towards the littlest of the neighbours. The "new" foreign policy of India is in fact work in advance. The reseacher in this paper will give highlights on the status of Indian foreign policy in present era and the crisis of ideologies which India is facing and at the end will appraise the affirmative action being made in favour of the country both at national level and international level.
