Title

Dynamics Of Charged Particle In Rotating Electric Quadrupole Potential

Abstract

In this paper we present charged particle motion in rotating quadrupole field. Quadrupole field configuration is used in many practical systems, e.g., in charged particle accelerator components for focusing of charged particle beam or in ion traps. Rotation of quadrupole field with time introduces a coupling of transverse dynamics. Study of such dynamical system throws light in to the details.
