ICT (Information and Communications Technology) plays a very important role in the present Higher Education system for the improvement of quality education. The present study attempts to analyse the impact of ICT on the development of the teaching and learning process among the pupil teachers of the B.Ed. institutions of North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. This present study aims to analyse the consequences of ICT based innovation among higher educational institutions viz. B.Ed. Colleges situated in the North 24 Parganas district. The study comprises of 200 students of few selected B.Ed. institutions in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. A self-made questionnaire by the researcher was used as a tool for administering the present study. The study was done by random sampling on students of several B.Ed. Colleges of North 24 Parganas of West Bengal. The impact of ICT on the development of the teaching-learning process among B.Ed. institutions with respect to Gender (Male & female), Locale (Rural & Urban), Education level (graduate and postgraduate) and Institution type (Govt., Govt.-Aided & Self-financed) was measured by the researcher for administering the present study and it is found that they play a very significant role in ICT based innovation.
