Title

Analysis of Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger for Waste Heat Recovery by using CFD

Abstract

The heat available in the exhaust section of many energy conversion devices such as Boiler, Gas turbine, I.C engine etc goes as waste, if properly not utilized. Currently the work has been carried out with a view to assume the performance of a shell and tube heat exchanger in the recovery of waste heat application. The performance of the heat exchanger has been evaluated by using the Computational fluid dynamics package in ANSYS fluent 15.0 and the parameter of performance of the heat exchangers is given in effectiveness, waste heat recovery, logarithmic mean temperature distribution has been reported in this report.
