This limnological Studies aimed to analyses the composition & diversity of benthic macro-invertebrates assemblages in the river Sikrahna in West Champaran, Bihar. This river is the tributary of river Budhi-Gandak which finally meets into River Ganga in Khagariya (Bihar). Samples were collected from River Sikrahna on monthly basis from 2010 to 2012. The total species included members of Oligochaeta, Insecta and Gastropoda were present during study. In the river Sikrahna, the presence of marginal vegetation and the distances from urban as well as industrial pollution, combined with peculiarities of sampling sites influenced the structure of the benthic community.
