Abstract: In this proposed study discussed about the marriage songs of the Bodos which is extant among the society. It has been singing during marriage ceremony. Marriage is a social institution through which human beings propagated human civilization. Hence, human beings in collaboration of marriage system have differentiated themselves from the other animals. It is an important social system for the welfare and discipline of the human society. Thus, it is loneliness life transformed into the family. These marriage songs the social folk-customs, merry-making, advices norms and awareness are reflecting. In this paper an attempt will be made to highlight the social picture of the Bodos based the texts of the marriage songs.
