ABSTRACT This study has been undertaken to investigate the proteases producing bacteria in the municipality waste of Rewa. We have sampled about 200 samples during different weather conditions and isolated the protease producing bacterial isolates. We have performed various morphological and biochemical test with some molecular biology techniques to identify the bacterial strain which have the potential to produce maximum enzyme in different environmental and laboratory conditions. We have found the two bacterial isolates R-4 and R-12 as the potential target for further investigation.
