The main aim of this study is to understand the impact of emotional intelligence on the work performance of employees working in various organizations. This research tries to understand the major factors that affect the emotional intelligence and work performance of employees such as self-management, social awareness, employee skills and work environment etc., to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and employee performance. This study is conducted with a sample size of 130 employees from various sectors in the Hyderabad city using convenient sampling method. Based on the outcome of the study it is evident that emotional intelligence has a positive correlation on the performance of the employees.
