This paper will investigate section 10 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, where we will talk about the insolvency proceedings and step-by-step procedure on how to go about it. This paper will also be discussing how voluntary liquidation will work and will analyze the liquidation process and understanding in detail. In the later part of this paper, we will discuss the necessities for debtors investing in the voluntary liquidation case and the repercussions of the same. Here, few landmark judgments of voluntary liquidation will be talked about and finally will conclude the liquidation process.
