Value addition is the process in which for the same volume of a primary product, a high price is obtained by means of processing, packaging, upgrading the quality and various other methods. Value addition in floriculture is a process to improve the economic value and also employment. The value addition of in floriculture includes adopting proper post harvest technology and logistics. The value addition helps to reduce the post harvest loss and to provide better quality, empower farmers and other weaker sections. There are numbers of flowers having potential value addition venture.
