The aim of this study was to analyze the level of use and quality of service rendered by parks and gardens in Port Harcourt Metropolis, Rivers State, Nigeria. The study evaluated the level of use and quality of service rendered byparks and gardens in Port Harcourt Metropolis.Parksand gardenshelp to supplement the social and psychological convenience of users such that it promotes relaxation and promote an atmosphere of relationship with natural landscape.The study adopted the cross sectional research design.Primary and secondary data were used and structured questionnaire was used to gather data.The data for this research were examined using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques.The results of the analysis were presented in tables. The results showed that there is statistically significant relationship between level of usage and quality of service (22.29, p>0.05) of parks and gardens in Port Harcourt metropolis.The most common challenges in the operation of parks and garden facilities is insecurity, poor funding and inadequate maintenance, especially the state owned parks and gardens.The study recommends that there is need for re-evaluation of the place of parks and garden in the development of the city and effective usage. Also, adequate funding and development of recreation is not only good for the economy, it is a long-term investment in the people. This will grossly affect the development, maintenance and utilization of parks and garden in the state. Keywords: Quality of Service, Parks, Gardens, Port Harcourt Metropolis, Analysis and Use.
