Title

ADSORPTION/DESORPTION OF NO2 GAS ON STRONTIUM DOPED BARIUM TITANATE THICK FILM SENSOR

Abstract

Strontium (0.2M%) doped Barium titanate nanocrystals were used for the fabrication of nanocrystalline thick-film sensor samples via screen printing, using the hydrothermal method. Their sensitivity to low NO2 gas concentrations in air (10–100 ppm) at a range of room temperature and microstructure characteristics were compared. Surprisingly, 0.2M% Strontium doped sample exhibit maximum response (S) in relation to NO2 adsorption. It was found that the lower concentration of dopant shows better response to NO2 gas which might be attributed to more adsorption of NO2 gas on the surface of the sensor based on 0.2 M% strontium doped Barium titanate
