Title

Design and Improvement of Solar-Multi Crop Dryer

Abstract

There are different purposes of solar energies with inside the international like water heating, amperage phenomenon and so on. And drying is one among the sole methods to take care of preserve food, the solar food or crop dryers are convenient drying methods for a world. In this study, a Direct type solar crop dryer is designed and constructed to dry different crops. This paper explains the design calculations for the crop dryer which explains how this system works and makes our food preserved for longer period of time. This dryer also contains the vibration plate which also helps in drying the crop more rapidly or efficiently. From the study, the area required to dry 6kg of crop is 3m2; however, it also depends upon the drying time and the moisture content in the crop. Closed drying is faster way then open sun drying. Around 50% of the drying time can be reduced by mistreatment using the crop dryer. Because of the closed and the controlled rate of drying the standard of the crops remains same in terms of colour, texture associate degreed taste.
