The image segmentation is the process applied in order to fetch the significant objects from the given input image which in turn is used for further analysis. Image segmentation can also be coined as the technique of separating an image into different segments. Basically the segmentation is based on features such as pixel intensity value, gray scale, color, depth, brightness, texture, etc. Based on these there exists several image segmentation techniques. In this paper we present the review of the image segmentation methods.
