This research paper is based on economic order quantity model for deteriorating items under two parameter pareto type I distribution. In the initial phase of purchase, time to ameliorate following two parameter Weibull distribution is considered. Shortages are allowed to occur and partially backlogged. This model aims in minimising the total cost while finding the optimal time interval and optimal order quantity. The optimal solution of the model is illustrated with numerical example and sensitivity analysis along with graphical representation is done to study the effects of various parameters on the deciding variables and to demonstrate the model.
