Agriculture constitutes the main activity of most rural populations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This activity is, however, subject to variations in climatic conditions unfavorable to its development. Climatic variability is manifested by frequent drought sequences, a shortening and early end of the rainy season and a delay in the onset of the dry season. These fluctuations have led to a decline in agricultural yields over the years to the point of creating food insecurity in the region. It is with this in mind that mitigation strategies have been found by rural stakeholders in Kailo territory in order to reduce the impacts of climate disruption. Among these, we note the endogenous strategies developed by farmers, those planned and alternatives. This study contributes to the identification of priority options for adapting agricultural systems to climate variability in the Ambwe sector in Kailo territory. It relied on the collection of field data (taking GPS coordinates, interviews and questionnaire
