In recent years, the increasing awareness regarding the side effects of synthetic hair care products has led to a renewed interest in herbal hair oils. These oils, prepared using various medicinal plant extracts and carrier oils, offer natural remedies for hair problems such as hair fall, dandruff, premature greying, and scalp infections. This review highlights the commonly used herbs, formulation techniques, evaluation parameters, and the therapeutic benefits of herbal hair oils. Emphasis is placed on scientific evaluation methods to ensure product quality, safety, and efficacy. The paper also underlines the potential of herbal oils as safer, effective alternatives to synthetic formulations.
