Title

Edge driven Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense in Modern Embedded Applications

Abstract

—The Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense is a small yet powerful microcontroller board that combines multiple built-in sensors with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity, making it ideal for modern embedded and IoT applications. This paper explores its hardware design, sensor capabilities, communication interfaces, and memory structure, while also comparing it to other popular development boards. Its potential in wearable devices, healthcare monitoring, smart agriculture, and industrial IoT is examined, with particular focus on its ability to run TinyML models for on-device machine learning. The findings suggest that its compact size, low power usage, and versatile sensor set make it well-suited for intelligent edge applications, though the absence of an onboard debugger and camera module are notable drawbacks.
