Milling is the technique for removing the metal by feeding the work past a pivoting multipoint cutter. Milling machine is one among the principal fundamental machine tools in an instrument space as about every one of the tasks will be performed on that with high exactness. The objective of the current work is to use taguchi methodology to study the effect of milling parameters like cutting speed, depth of cut, feed rate, on the surface roughness, Material Removal rate (MRR) and chip thickness (Ct). The current work is carried out on vertical milling machine with types of specimens made up of carbon steel and aluminum respectively
