Abstract If there is any cardinal point about Afghanistan at any level that touches huge chord of board, it is to bring peace. And the strategic importance of Afghanistan for India is unquestionable. This paper locates India’s engagement in Afghanistan after coming of Modi’s government in Delhi and chart out the changes that are visible in relation of India and Afghanistan. The paper is drawn of fragmented scholarly literatures, reports and attempt is made to amylase those changes on the ground.
